Web design, local SEO and Google Ads for DC, Maryland and Virginia businesses

Capital Growth Studio builds websites, sets up Google Business Profiles and runs Google Ads for established service businesses in Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. It is founder-led: you work directly with the person who does the work. Your website and ad accounts stay in your name, with no long-term contract.

Common problems

Why isn't my business getting more customers online?

The cause is usually one of four issues.

01

Your website loses people before they call

Most visitors will see your site on a phone. In Google's 2016 study of mobile sites, 53% of visits were abandoned when a page took longer than three seconds to load (Google/DoubleClick, "The Need for Mobile Speed"). A slow page, tiny text or a phone number buried at the bottom sends people back to the search results.

02

Nearby customers can't find you on Google Maps

When someone in Arlington searches "AC repair near me," Google often shows a map with a short list of nearby businesses. Google says those local results depend mainly on relevance, distance and how well known a business is (Google Business Profile Help). An incomplete profile, a wrong category or outdated hours make it harder for Google to match you to the search.

03

You pay for ads but cannot see what they bring in

Without conversion tracking, you cannot tell whether your ads work. We set up conversion tracking for calls and forms before any budget is spent, so each month you see what the ads cost and what they produced.

04

You post everywhere, but it does not add up

Posting on social media without a plan rarely brings in work. We focus on where buyers look when they are ready to hire: Google Search, Google Maps and your website. We do not manage social media; if it matters for your business, we will refer you to a specialist.

Areas we serve in DC, Maryland and Virginia

On Google Maps, Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia are not one market. Distance is one of Google's main local ranking factors (Google Business Profile Help), so an HVAC company in Silver Spring competes mainly with companies near Silver Spring. We plan your listing and pages around the towns you serve.

For established family firms

What does a referral see when they Google your company?

In B2B work, new jobs often come from referrals, bid lists and relationships. Before a property manager or building owner adds you to a vendor list, they look you up. We redesign websites for established family firms as a one-time project, so your online presence matches your reputation.

Google's own advice is that a small local business "can probably do much of the work yourself" (Google Search Central). Our guides cover the same steps we follow. If you prefer to hand the work off, book a call.

What you can count on

What do I get when I hire Capital Growth Studio?

Every client receives the same terms.

Who owns the website and the accounts?

You do, from day one. The domain, code, data and Google accounts are in your name. If you leave, you receive every login and file within 5 business days.

What will it cost?

You receive a fixed price in writing before work starts. Any additional work is quoted first, for your approval.

Do I have to sign a long contract?

No. You start with one fixed-price project and continue only if the work proves its value.

Who will I work with?

The person you meet on the first call does the work, with no account managers or hand-offs.

Will you explain what you change?

Yes. Nothing goes live until you approve it, and you receive a monthly report.

Can you build more than a website?

Yes. Our background is software engineering. We also build custom tools, such as careers pages, paperwork trackers and automatic alerts.

How it works

How does a project work?

Every project follows the same four steps.

01

Step 1: Discovery call

We review your goals and current setup, and confirm whether we are the right fit.

02

Step 2: Written plan and fixed price

You receive the scope, price and delivery date in writing before work begins.

03

Step 3: Build and review

We build each part, and you approve it before it goes live.

04

Step 4: Monitoring and reporting

We monitor performance, maintain everything we build, and send you a monthly report.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Capital Growth Studio do?

We build and fix websites, set up and manage Google Business Profiles (the listing that shows on Google Maps), and run Google Ads for service businesses in Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia. For established B2B firms, we also redesign websites as one-time projects. We do not manage social media, design logos or produce video.

Can you guarantee a #1 ranking on Google or Google Maps?

No, and be cautious of anyone who does. Google says there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking (Google Business Profile Help). Its advice on hiring an SEO is that if someone guarantees first place in search results, "find someone else" (Google Search Central). What we can promise is the work: a complete and accurate Business Profile, a fast website and accurate monthly reporting.

Do I need a new website, or can you work with the one I have?

Often you do not need a new one. We start with your current site. If it is fast, works on phones and makes it easy to call or book, we fix what is missing. If it is slow, hard to update or locked inside a platform you do not control, we recommend a rebuild and explain why before you spend anything.

Do I still need a website if I have a Google Business Profile?

In most cases, yes. In BrightLocal's 2026 consumer survey, 54% of people said they visit a business's website after reading positive reviews, up from 32% in 2019 (BrightLocal, Local Consumer Review Survey 2026). A separate BrightLocal study of about 200,000 local searches on ChatGPT and Google's AI features found that business websites made up 93% of the unique sites those tools cited (BrightLocal, September 2026).

What areas do you serve?

We focus on Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia: all of DC, Arlington, Alexandria and Falls Church, and Fairfax, Montgomery and Prince George's counties. We also work with businesses outside the region.
